Our office hours are 8:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. We cannot be reached by phone during lunch (12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.), before 8:30 a.m., or after 4:00 p.m.

The North Georgia Neurological Clinic Prescription Policy requires the patient to contact our office during office hours with prescription requests. We will make every effort to respond before the end of the day. Please call at least 48 hours before your prescription runs out. Since your chart must be available for review by the doctor, no calls for prescriptions or re-fills will be taken after office hours.

While our physicians strive to remain on schedule, there may be times when they run behind schedule due to emergencies or unforeseen circumstances. We understand there may be times when you cannot wait if the doctor is behind schedule. We will be happy to reschedule your appointment if you so desire. Please speak with the receptionist to do so.

If you are unable to keep your appointment, please give us at least 24 hours advance notice. North Georgia Neurological Clinic reserves the right to charge a no-show or same day cancellation fee if you fail to show up for your appointment or if you fail to cancel at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.

Your benefit coverage for care provided by NGNC is determined solely by your insurance company and is based on the provisions of your specific medical benefit plan. Please contact the member services department on the back of your insurance card to confirm that NGNC is in-network with your plan. NGNC will file your medical insurance as a courtesy, however, it is the patient’s responsibility to verify that NGNC is a participating provider with their insurance plan or if a referral is required.

North Georgia Neurological Clinic is a contracted “in-network” provider with select plans under the following: Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shields, Cigna, Humana, Tricare, United Healthcare, traditional Medicare and Medicare replacement plans. This is not a complete list of accepted insurances. If your insurance is not listed, please contact our office to inquire. This information is updated periodically and is subject to change. We do not accept Marketplace plans or new patient Medicaid to include Amerigroup, Caresource, Peachstate and Wellcare.

The patient is responsible to provide NGNC with accurate and current insurance information, and should present insurance card(s) and photo ID at each visit. It is the responsibility of the patient to pay the co-payment, co-insurance, deductible and/or any outstanding balances at the time of the visit.

If your account becomes delinquent, it will be placed with a collection agency. The patient is responsible for reasonable collection costs including attorney fees.

For the treatment of work related injuries involving workers’ compensation, we must have authorization from your workers’ compensation company prior to scheduling your appointment.

A parent or guardian must accompany minors to their appointments.

We do not file third party insurance.
